I started working on this years ago, before I had children but never felt like I had the inspiration to continue work on it. But as the years have gone by I have found new inspiration for it especially after finding Christ. The meaning to me is kind of a negative one, but put in a pretty light. It’s the Leviathan that seeks to kill, steal and destroy, crouching like a lion ready to pounce on it’s owner. It’s a reminder that that evil force is always there spiritually, and is a part of the world, part of human nature, it’s a crashing wave that we need to overcome as believers, even for non-believers. This is a charcoal and color pencil piece on canvas with a clear coat spray.
